10th Annual Rick Pobst Memorial Flight
All other teams (not affiliated with the corporate flight) and combination of individual golfers will compete in the Rick Pobst Memorial Flight. Awards will be given to the top three teams in four flights that will be determined based on tournament scores. First place teams will receive $60 gift certificate, per player, in the Pueblo Country Club Pro Shop. Second place team members will each received a $40 gift certificate, with third-place team members each receiving a $25 gift certificate. Rick Pobst Memorial Scholarship Rick Pobst was an outstanding golfer from Pueblo who died at an early age due to cancer. His parents, Bob and Edda Lou Pobst, founded the Rick Pobst Memorial Golf Scholarship in 1988 to help provide money for CSU-Pueblo golf scholarships, as well as to remind people of their son's great accomplishments on and off the golf course. Past recipients of the Rick Pobst Memorial scholarship include Dave Vecchio, Mike Lewis, Chris Finn, Talby Velasco, and Jason Allen, to name a few. Five percent of the proceeds raised from the ThunderWolves Golf Classic will go towards the Rick Pobst Memorial Golf Scholarship.
